If you’ve picked up an American gardening magazine or any of a number of gardening books over the years, there’s a good chance you’ve seen and enjoyed some of Rob Cardillo’s outstanding garden photography. If you’re interested in learning a little more about the man behind the camera, check out this great article in today’s Philadelphia Inquirer: Visions of ‘Paradise’. Rob also has a web site (Rob Cardillo Photography) showcasing some of his work, and a photo blog too (Little Green Pixels).
Rob Cardillo, Photographer Extraordinaire

*And* he’s a darn nice guy, too. It’s great to see people like that get the attention they deserve.

Nan,
It is extraordinary! The image of the gardener and the wisteria is lovely but then they all were! Gail
My favorites from among his images tend to be the closeups, because he has a way of finding really interesting backgrounds and then creating sharp focus on the main image, so the background is kind of an abstract pattern of color. It’s somehow different than what most other photographers end up with, and very cool. Of course, his plant and people shots are great too.

Thanks for telling me about this article. It was great to get to know Rob a little better. His work is extraordinary.
I’m glad you too found it interesting, Pam. I’ve known Rob for over 15 years and worked with him on several books, and even I learned stuff about him from that article!
