Kelly Griffin is a succulent breeder for Altman Plants, the largest grower of succulents and cacti in the US. Kelly is renowned for his aloe hybrids—unusual and colorful succulents new to the nursery marketplace.
In Kelly’s own garden are aloes yet to be introduced, that he’s experimenting with, growing for flowers so he can harvest the seeds, or simply collecting because they’re intriguing and beautiful.
Watch a video of Kelly showing the aloes in his garden. What do you think? Did you enjoy seeing the aloes in a plant breeder’s own garden?

I will be traveling in the San Diego area 7-11th April and would like to visit a few succulent gardens. If you could refer a few gardens this will be most welcome. I met Kelly a couple of months ago when he visited my nursery in South Africa. I have tried to mail him, but my mails return as undelivered. If you could please contact Kelly or send me other contact details I would greatly appreciate this. I would like to say hello to him while I am in your area. Thank you, james fisk
