I am always perusing environmental sites whenever I have a moment. I don’t know if you experience something similar to me. But I begin reading a site filled with terrific, interesting material and before I know it, I’m led to a link, click on it and Voila! I am then on another site which most times I find mildly interesting. After a few minutes, I usually click on something else. But when I clicked on www.mongabay.com the other day, I felt like I had entered a rich, moist, deep green forest, a place that I wanted to stay. As stated on the front page: “Mongabay seeks to raise interest in and appreciation of wild lands and wildlife, while examining the impact of emerging trends in climate, technology, economics, and finance on conservation and development”. Give www.mongabay.com a click. It’s worth it!
A Fantastic Environmental Site
– Posted in: MiscellaneousMongabay does a great job of collecting and publishing content on the environment in one location. So many interesting articles.
Thanks for the link,

You’re welcome. I’m pretty psyched about spending more time on Mongabay….it’s so rich with information. Fran
You fell into the internet rabbit hole for a while, but found purchase at what looks like a great site! gail

Am glad you like Mongabay…I’m looking forward to spending more time on it. Fran
Strange, I usually use mongabay to research biomes for my other hobby – planted aquariums and fish. Never thought to expand beyond that area though.

Well, you were ahead of us in ‘sourcing out’ Mongabay. Am glad that you’ll have even more to explore since you found out about the breadth of the site. Planted aquariums and fish, eh??? That’s a pretty interesting hobby!! Fran
