Picture This Survey

– Posted in: Garden Photography

In case you missed the original announcement, May’s Picture This theme is Spring Fling. As Fran explained, “Your composition  should evoke a sense of whimsy, fun and spontaneity. The subject matter is your choice.” We don’t have a judge this month, so the challenge is just for fun. Post your photo on your blog, along with reason you chose it, and leave a link on the original announcement post (New Subject for May’s Picture This Contest).

We look forward to returning to  our usual judging process next month. Fran and I have also talked about exploring some other options for future Picture This contests, and we’d love to have your input. We’ve come up with a quick survey and posted it over at SurveyMonkey. Even if you’ve never entered the contest, your feedback would be very helpful to us.

For those of you who enjoy entering competitions, here’s an extra opportunity: GGW Regular Contributor Debra Lee Baldwin is judging a contest where you can enter a photo of your best succulent container garden. The deadline is May 31, 2010. You can find all the details here: Succulent Container Gardens Giveaway.

Nancy J. Ondra
Nan gardens on 4 acres in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In the firm belief that every garden ought to have a pretentious-sounding (or at least pretentious-looking) name, she refers to her home grounds as "Hayefield." There, she experiments with a wide variety of plants and planting styles, from cottage gardens and color-based borders to managed meadows, naturalistic plantings, and veggies--all under the watchful eyes of her two pet alpacas, Daniel and Duncan.
